Discover Local

DISCOVER YOUR PEOPLE. UNCOVER YOUR MISSION.

Want to know more about Local?  Start here.

Discover Local is a relaxed gathering where you can meet our team, hear the story behind Local, learn what we believe, ask questions, and find out how to get connected.
Lunch and childcare are provided.

Discover Local meets the first Sunday of each month following our morning gathering.

Overview of Discover Local

Step One: Discover Us
Hear the story of Local, meet our leadership, understand our mission, and learn why we believe Ashland needs a church committed to helping people love like Jesus.
Step Two: Discover You
Following Jesus gets personal. We will talk about where you are, what God may be doing in your life, and the next step you can take.
Step Three: Discover We
Following Jesus was never meant to be a solo project.

We will show you two of the easiest ways to become part of Local: Community Groups and Local Team. One helps you build relationships. The other gives you a place to serve alongside other people. Usually, both happen at the same time.

Discover We

You do not need to take a personality test to be useful in the church. Sometimes the best way to discover where you fit is simply to try something.

We will help you learn about our teams, meet the people leading them, and find a place where you can contribute. Training is provided, and nobody expects you to know everything before you start.

Following Jesus was never meant to be something we do alone. Community Groups are where we build real relationships, open the Bible, talk honestly about life, pray for one another, and help each other follow Jesus during the week.
