Could you tell me more about your Sunday morning service?

At Local Christian Church, every weekend promises a welcoming environment. Our worship music is life-giving, and our messages are always life-transforming. Our services are only 75 minutes long, and your children will be in good hands at our loving and high-quality nursery and enjoy a fun-filled Local Kids ministry.

What can I expect during my first visit?

At Local, we strive to provide guests with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We recognize that some may prefer to remain anonymous as they explore our community, and we fully respect that. Take your time to enjoy the serene surroundings, grab a complimentary cup of coffee, and determine whether our church is the best fit for you. You won't feel pressured, embarrassed, or expected to make any financial contributions. As a gesture of LOCAL generosity, a portion of our weekly giving will be directed towards a local ministry in Ashland.

How can I meet new people and make connections?

There are various ways to engage with us. One option is to attend our Discover Local.. Another way is to participate in our Community Groups. Both offer the opportunity to form friendships, gain insight into our church’s activities, and develop your faith.

Where is our Sunday morning service location?

Our Sunday morning worship gathering is held at Patrick Henry High School. For specific service times, please refer to the information provided here.

What should I do regarding my children?

At Local Christian Church, we prioritize the safety and well-being of your children. Our nurseries are meticulously maintained, secure, and overseen by compassionate caregivers. Additionally, we offer a vibrant children’s ministry program for elementary-aged kids, where they can joyfully worship and expand their knowledge of Jesus.  Discover more about our offerings with Local Kids.

How can I become a part of a Community Group?

Local Christian Church believes that Community Groups are crucial. To fully experience our church, it is recommended that you participate in our Community Groups. These groups operate in three semesters: spring, summer, and fall. The spring and fall semesters run for ten weeks each, while the summer semester lasts five weeks.

What should I wear to attend your services?

How can I receive guidance and develop my spiritual growth through discipleship?

We want to help you in your journey toward loving like Jesus.  Our Discover Local classes provide the necessary tools to achieve this goal. You can start the process at any point in our NEXT STEPS ministry.
