We're just getting started

How it all started...

What God has done over the past two years at Local Christian Church is nothing short of incredible. From a handful of families with a vision to a growing, thriving church community—lives are being changed, faith is being formed, and hope is being restored.  But as amazing as the journey has been so far, we believe it’s only the beginning. God is opening new doors, stirring fresh vision, and calling us to take bold steps forward. What we’ve seen is real—but what’s coming is even greater.

We’re just getting started… and we’re excited to share what’s next.

Expanding the vision...

We started with just a few families and friends, gathering with faith and a dream. Since then, we’ve experienced significant growth. Every month, new families are joining in. Our kids’ ministry is thriving. Community groups are forming.  Our worship gatherings are filled with people who are hungry for truth and connection.

This moment matters because we’re no longer a brand-new church plant—we’re becoming a deeply rooted presence in Ashland. And now, it’s time to take the next step.

Where we are headed...

We’re actively exploring a permanent home for Local Christian Church—a space designed for worship, discipleship, outreach, and daily ministry.

The Vision: A 7,500 sq. ft. facility that includes space for Sunday worship, a dynamic kids ministry, classrooms for teaching and community, and a weekday gathering space for coffee, prayer, outreach, and connection.

This is about more than just having a building—it’s about establishing long-term spiritual roots in the community we love.

What’s happening now ...

We’ve begun formal conversations with the Town of Ashland and Hanover County to understand the process for securing a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for this space. That includes site visits, architectural planning, compliance evaluations, and scheduled meetings with local officials.

Timeline Highlights:
Now through July: Site work, planning, and early meetings
August–September: Application submission and town/county review
Fall 2025: Potential move-in and full occupancy (pending approvals and buildout)

This process takes patience and prayer—but we’re moving forward with clarity and hope.
