When we launched Local Christian Church, we didn’t begin with a building—we began with a burden. A burden to reach our town with the hope of Jesus. From day one, our heartbeat has been to love Ashland well, create space for real community, and see lives transformed by the gospel.
In just two years, we’ve seen that vision come alive.
People are finding Jesus. Families are getting connected. Kids are growing in faith. And every week, new faces walk through our doors ready to discover what God has next for them.

Over the past year, we explored the opportunity to move into a permanent space in town. But after months of delays, mounting limitations, and increased cost burdens, we’ve made the wise and faith-filled decision not to move forward with that location.
This isn’t a step backward—it’s a strategic pivot. Because our mission has never been about square footage—it’s always been about people.
We believe God is calling us to remain agile, focused, and deeply rooted in our calling to be for Ashland. We’re not pausing. We’re not waiting. We’re preparing for something even better.
