Why Does God Allow Suffering and Pain?

When suffering breaks us, we often question where God is in our pain. In Luke 7:11-17, Jesus demonstrates three powerful responses to human suffering: He truly sees our sorrow with deep compassion, He steps into the places others avoid by touching what was considered unclean, and He speaks life where death seems to have the final word. While we cannot explain why all suffering occurs, we can trust that Jesus—who conquered death himself—has not abandoned us in our pain. We're called to follow His example by seeing others in their suffering, stepping toward difficult situations with compassion, and speaking words of life and hope.
