When There Isn't Enough
Nov 1, 2026 • Bruce Humphrey
Most of us know what it feels like to wonder if we will have enough. In Matthew 6, Jesus speaks directly to that fear, pointing to birds and wildflowers as reminders that the same Father who cares for creation cares far more deeply for us. He does not promise that financial struggles will disappear, but He does remind us that our Heavenly Father already knows every need we have. The central call is simple but demanding: seek the Kingdom of God first, even when the circumstances have not changed. Worry adds nothing to our lives, but trust in God changes how we face what is in front of us. The invitation is not to have everything figured out, but to take the next faithful step while trusting the One who already knows what we need.
