The Passover story reveals a powerful truth about God's protection that goes beyond our daily masks and attempts to conceal our flaws. When the Israelites faced the final plague in Egypt, God provided covering through the blood of a spotless lamb on their doorposts. The Hebrew word for pass over means to cover and protect by standing guard - God literally stood between death and His people. Today, Jesus serves as our Passover Lamb, covering not just our sins but our entire identity. God doesn't cover us so we can stay hidden; He covers us so we can walk in freedom from the things that once enslaved us.
