Pray on Mission

It is easy to go through life looking at people without truly seeing them. In Matthew 9, Jesus looked at the same crowd everyone else saw, but He saw people who were confused, helpless, and in need of a shepherd. His response was not frustration or withdrawal. It was compassion. The harvest is great, but the workers are few, and God has a way of involving the very people who are praying in the answer to their own prayers. The prayer shifts from asking God to send someone else to saying, "Here I am; send me." That one shift changes everything.
