What Has Your Heart
Feb 8, 2026 • Bruce Humphrey
Life often feels off-center when our hearts become attached to fragile earthly treasures that promise security, significance, or satisfaction. Jesus teaches that our hearts follow our treasure - whatever we consistently invest our time, money, and attention in shapes what we truly value. Rather than our feelings leading our actions, our repeated choices and devotions train our hearts over time. When we feel spiritually uncentered, the solution isn't a dramatic overhaul but directional change - identifying what has been hooking our hearts and making small turns back toward what brings true life. Repentance means turning toward Jesus and allowing Him to re-center our hearts on eternal treasures that cannot be destroyed.
