Renew the Heart
In the final message of the Recentered series, we move from noticing drift and naming what pulls on our hearts to trusting God to do what we cannot—renew us from the inside out. Throughout Abraham's life, we see how even faithful people can struggle with fear, control, and partial trust. Drift is often less about rebellion and more about relying on ourselves instead of fully submitting to God.
But God does not abandon His people in their weakness. From Genesis to the cross, the story of Scripture is one of renewal after interruption. In Christ, we are made new, given the gift of the Holy Spirit, and invited into a lifelong process of transformation. True renewal begins when we stop resisting and start surrendering—praying, “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.”
This message reminds us that salvation is a moment, but formation is a journey—and God is faithful to complete the work He begins.
